See this Marine with the flag over his face? The flag draped in front of him as soon as he took his first step.
But he never wavered.
He didn’t flinch. How do I know? Because I have pictures of every step he made.
Know why he didn’t flinch? Because he trusted the people next to him and because he never lost his footing.
He stepped off with the right step but he never swerved even though he couldn’t see. He won’t and didn’t lose his footing because even when he can’t SEE the outcome he knows he can trust those walking beside him.
My challenge to you . . . ask yourself . . .
Do the people you have surrounded yourself with believe in you?
Do they want to see you succeed but accept you right where you are?
Do you trust them to keep you from swerving and losing your focus and balance?
Do they respect you (I didn’t say agree)?
Do you know that they will come beside you to help you reach the goal?
If the answer to those questions is anything than yes . . . then my friend, it’s time to revaluate who you have surrounded yourself with.
Ask God to send you an Aaron and Hur today. But also be ready to lift up the arms of the one around you struggling to raise their arms as well.
When Moses’ arms grew tired, Aaron and Hur brought a stone for him to sit on, while they stood beside him and held up his arms, holding them steady until the sun went down.
