Worry is dealing with tomorrow’s problems on today’s rations (manna).
When David says, “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures” he isn’t referring to a field full of green alfalfa.
The hillside where the shepherds led their sheep for grazing was nothing like the image I had in my mind. In fact the terrain was hard and dry covered with rocks, pebbles, and boulders. Rain was sparse but between that small amount of rain and the humidity in the air – it was just enough to collect moisture in the rocks which was just enough to grow sprouts of green plants.
God isn’t going to give us everything we need in life all at once. He is going to provide us just enough along life’s treacherous way to take us to the next rock we need to climb.
Are you trusting Him with today’s rations? For Him to provide just enough to get you through today –
