Good Medicine

It is Saturday afternoon around 4:20. I wrote this blog post early Saturday morning and scheduled it to post Sunday morning. And since the facts shared from this morning are important, I sensed the best way to add to the post is to update it.

I wrote this post believing the Lord was close to giving me a victory. I just didn’t realize it would happen just hours later. Because it is too much to write, I decided to add the link to the video that I posted on fb to share what the Lord has done.

If you are waiting on God to move big in your life, don’t give up. He is at work. Just be prepared, praying, “do whatever it takes, Lord” could involve blue hair!

As I was scrolling through social media posts this morning. . . the crime rates, shootings are rampant in Escambia County, missing children, car accidents . . . the thought came to mind that maybe I’m not the only one that needs a reprieve from the negativity . . . maybe we ALL need to experience a little CLEAN laughter each day . . . maybe I’m not the only one?

Since May 2018 I have been praying the Lord would restore my laughter. Fourteen months later, on July 2, 2019 He gave me Job 8:21.

He will once again fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.

Fast forward a few months to October 19, 2019, a study on the women of the Bible took me to Sarah.

Sarah’s laughter was restored.

I have continued to faithfully petition the Lord these twenty-two months and He has faithfully given me confirmation that He hears my pleas and even recently allowed me to experience a glimpse of the victory that is coming.

Because I have seen God move and restore so much of what I had destroyed, I know the day will return when He. Restores. My. Laughter.

Beginning today, I will do my best to add a daily dose of good medicine – clean laughter – to my fb page. I would love to have you join me there. https://www.facebook.com/staceypadenspeaker/

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22

  1. Yes, yes, yes! Laughter is so cleansing and uplifting! Stacey, you gave me a wonderful dose of belly laughter, laughing and crying, yesterday! I’m thinking of you this morning as you teach and then step into the sanctuary today. Wish I could be there to see Br. Ted’s reaction! Love you, Girl!!

  2. Thank you, Faye! I received a lot of compliments, had several dollar size eye ball looks 😂, and lots of laughter today! Some people just looked shocked. And that’s okay. It all represents healing! I also received a text this morning from someone thanking me – that my story and laughter helped her husband who has been struggling to laugh yesterday. Praise the Lord for that! He is good. ❤️
