A Prayer of David

Fear. Is. A. Liar.

Know what I love the most about scripture? When I feel guilty for pleading to God about something all I have to do is turn to the Psalms and see that even David, a man after God’s own heart, did the same thing.

Satan wants to isolate us. He wants us to think we are alone in our thoughts and shouldn’t pray a certain way or ask God for certain things.

Guilt comes from Satan.

Conviction comes from God.

What’s the best way to combat fear? For me, it’s scripture. I shared with a closed group of ladies a few days ago, when I can’t remember scripture – when I’m so panicked and afraid – I started to make my own psalm of praise to Him. Remembering what He has already done. It has been empowering to me.

Satan has no authority over a believer that we don’t give to him. And I’m reeling that sucker in.
