We had freezing temperatures last night n the panhandle that were supposed to bring snow with a mixture of sleet. Instead we had sleet. Sleet. And more sleet. With barely a dash of snow. While I was saddened, again, that we missed a great white covering, one thing comes to mind every time I see pictures of snow or even get the opportunity to play in it, and that’s newness.
I love the beautiful visual snow gives me that I am “whiter than snow.”
Not because of anything I have done, but because of what Jesus did when He took my sins away.
Ever noticed how even dumps look beautiful with a fresh layer of snow covering them?
That’s what Jesus did for me – He made a drunk, a thief, a liar, and a hoochie – white as snow. He turned a pile of trash into a princess.
I wonder – which picture looks more beautiful – the junk yard? Or the brand new car lot?
“Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.”
