Amazed, but not surprised, and yet thankful how God answers prayers and meets the needs of His children.
For weeks I’ve needed shoes (many weeks), but we are spending so much on gas I just could not justify getting any knowing it would leave us short, so every time a stick or rock poked through the bottom of my shoe I prayed, “Lord, I need shoes.”
Well, today, while a friend was fixing a disaster haircut that is shorter than most men hair cuts (nauseating bad haircut), she asks me, “Stacey what size shoe do you wear?” I answered and she brings me a pair of size 9 black flip flops with a buckle. She said, “I’ve only worn them a few times, they just don’t fit right.”
They were a perfect fit.
Time and time again the Lord brings Matthew 6:25-26 to life . . . “Do not worry about your life . . . . What you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and they body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
I don’t know what your need is today, but I do know it’s not too big for my Lord. He provides in the most astounding ways that leave me in complete awe.
Matthew 6:33, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
